Councillors on the City Strategy Committee approved the proposals for a new section of bike lane on Featherston Street, a bike path through Post Office Square, and improvements for bikes on Kent Terrace and Cambridge Terrace near the Basin Reserve.

creating a short section of bike path along one side of Post Office Square so people can ride from Customhouse Quay to Jervois Quay and Queens Wharf

Councillors on the City Strategy Committee approved the proposals for a new bike lane on Rugby Street, bike parking on Grey Street, extending the shared zone on lower Cuba Street so people can cycle in both directions, and a shared zone in part of Bunny Street.

putting a contra-flow bike lane on Cuba Street (Ghuznee Street to Vivian Street)
putting a contra-flow bike lane on Willeston Street (Willis Street/Customhouse Quay/Lambton Quay intersection to Victoria Street)
putting a bike lane on Rugby Street from Adelaide Road to Tasman Street
designating Bunny Street (between Lambton Quay and Featherston Street) a shared zone, and allowing people to bike both ways in this section of street
adding bike parking in Grey Street by moving the motorbike parking around the corner to Featherston Street
